Care for Refugees (CFR) is a constitute group sponsoring refugees for their resettlement to Canada, particularly in Halifax NS, Canada through Canada’s Privat sponsorship of Refugees Program (PSP). CFR partners with other sponsorship agreement holders and co-sponsors to support our work.
What is required to be sponsored by CFR?
Care for Refugees falls under the distinction of a Constituent Group.
We partner with a Support Agreement Holder (SAH) to include the individual in the number of refugees that the SAH can apply to bring to Canada.
The refugee has to have a co-sponsor who can provide the financial support for them to live in Canada for one year. This can either be enough funds for them to live independently for that time or as in the majority of cases, to live with the sponsor or a relative/friend of them for that period.
They must agree to live in Nova Scotia for one year.
